[Explanation of the prescription] Yizongjinjian Waikexinfayaojue indicated that: “Orolingual sore and erosion is also called erosion of mouth. This is due to heavy accumulation of heat in both heart and spleen meridians.” Feverish smothery sensation in chest is due to heat in heart meridian; thirsty and reddish complexion are caused by upsurge of cardiac fire; the tongue is the sprout of the heart, so that such abnormality will be expressed as orolingual sore. In this prescription, drugs for clearing away heat, purging fire pathogen and nourishing Yin are chosen as the “monarch”; drugs for clearing heart and promoting urination are chosen as the “minister” to conduct the down-flow of water and its exclusion through urination. Such composition may execute the effect of heart-clearing, Yin-nourishing, urination-promoting and heat-direction.

Ling Jie Du Dan No. 2 (Toxic material-removing pellet No. 2)
[Main components] Root and rhizome of prepared rehmannia (Rehmannia glutinosa), immature flower of Japanese honeysuckle (flos Lonicera japonica), herb of spreading hedyotis (herba Hedyotis diffusa), and others (processed pure traditional Chinese medicine, none of Western medicine included).
[Efficacy] Consolidate vital base, invigorate kidney, clear heat, remove toxical material and eliminate dampness.
[Indications] Bacterial or viral infection of urinary system.
[Explanation of the prescription] Bacterial or viral infection of urinary system is called as “Lin (stranguria)” in traditional Chinese medicine. Zhubingyuanhoulun Zhulinbinghou indicated that: “Various Lins are originated from asthenia of kidney and heat of urinary bladder.” In addition to initiate symptoms of local pain and itch; the invasion of bacteria or viruses into urinary system may simultaneously impair vital Qi, causing imbalance between Yin and Yang and decrement of zang-fu viscera functiona, or decrease the amount and quality of sperm as well as sexual function. In this prescription, drugs for consolidating vital base and invigorating kidney are chosen as the “monarch”; drugs for clearing heat, removing toxical material and eliminating dampness are chosen as the “minister”. Such composition may strengthen healthy Qi to consolidate constitution, enhance the capacity of disease resistance, and may clear heat, remove toxical material, eliminate dampness and relieve local symptoms as early as possible (suitable to both males and females).

Ling Pao Zhen Dan No. 1 (Herpes-relieving pellet No. 1)
[Main components] Root-bark of subshrubby peony (cortex Paeonia suffruticosa), rhizome of common anemarrhena (rihzoma Anemarrhena asphodeloides), root of ural licorice (radix Glycyrrhiza uralensis), and others (processed pure traditional Chinese medicine, none of Western medicine included).
[Efficacy] Nourish Yin, clear heat, cool blood and remove toxical material.
[Indications] Type-I herpes (perioral herpetic dermatitis), sore on face and head and others. |

[Explanation of the prescription] Type-I herpes is called as “heat herpes” in traditional Chinese medicine. Shengjizonglu indicated that: “Heat herpes is based on the excessive heat and further attacked by pathogenic wind. It is therefore specially named as ‘heat herpes’.” In this prescription, drugs for nourishing Yin and clearing heat are chosen as the “monarch”; drugs for cooling blood and removing toxical material are chosen as the “minister”. Such composition may relieve facial herpes and itching sore as early as possible.
[Curative effect] The symptoms may generally be cured 2-3 days after medication.
