Money is the “0” after the “1”
Maybe you have been told about the story: A gentleman was traveling on a boat with seven packages loaded, i.e., money, beauty, glory, credit, resource, health, and talent. The boat was severely tossed about by the wind and waves and fell in danger. The old boatman said to the gentleman: “You have to choose only one package with you, otherwise, you won’t be possible to continue the travel safely”. Thought over and over, it was wise of the successful and famous gentleman to make the decision of choosing the health. He threw all the other packages into the sea and finally reached the other side.
Within the seven packages, health is the “1”, and all others are the “0”. Without the leader “1”, any of the subsequent “0” will belong to other persons.
It is wise to choose prevention before sickness
Some people struggle hard with their intelligence, youth and health in the prime of life, but when they harvest success in their career, it may be found that they have lost the most valuable wealth of the life – the health.
Every driver knows that it is necessary to maintain and repair his vehicle. The better the maintenance, the longer the service life of his vehicle could be.
The chopper should be re-sharpened after cutting, so as to keep its high serviceability for the next time. This is what the ancient proverb said: “Grinding a chopper will not delay the work of cutting firewood”.
The traditional idea in the past was “ To hide one’s sickness for fear of treatment”, which will forfeit the chance for the timely diagnosis and treatment, cause the damage to one’s health and leave the regret all one’s life. Along with the popularization of science and technology, people’s behavior has changed silently, and holding the idea of “to prevent before sickness” has become a modern fashion.
Treat the life well
As described in the song: Life is just alike a basket of flowers. How can render the life flowers of one’s own to bear plentiful buds and burst into bloom is the aim pursued by everyone even in his dream.
However, in the nowadays highly competitive society, due to the stress of subsistence and development, one is always utterly helpless. A lot of social lives are inescapable. For instance, one has to work unceasingly disregarding sleep and meal times, or to live an irregular life, or drink over the limit of one’s capacity, or impair one’s spirit by over joy and anger. It means that one is just wantonly spending his life at the same time of accumulating the wealth.
Clever friends, please think highly of your health in the thick of things, and don’t “hide your sickness for fear of treatment” whenever you feel unwell. You can enjoy the glory tomorrow only when you have the health today.
